“Our employees are our most important asset”

Siemens, the premium sponsor of the XX World Congress on Safety and Health at Work, presented at its stand in the entrance hall the company’s two programmes “Zero Harm Culture@Siemens” and “Healthy@Siemens”. Both programmes convey that the safety and health of employees are of central importance at the company.

siemens“Our employees are our most important asset,” says Lars Hoffmann, Head of Safety at Siemens. The company felt that the focus on “Vision Zero” at the World Congress was an especially compelling reason to take part. Visitors to the Siemens stand could click their way through the content and objectives of the two OSH programmes on six large touchscreens while fortifying themselves with apples and coffee.

The Congress definitely lived up to the company’s expectations. “We received lots of positive feedback and forged a number of interesting contacts around the globe,” commented Hoffmann happily. Siemens was able to share its experiences with occupational safety and health professionals from all over the world and to gather new ideas from various best-practice examples for incorporation into its own programmes.
